1. Surround yourself with inspired people. There's a coffee shop about 15 minutes from my house. Every time I go there, it is filled with people writing or sketching or just daydreaming. I always feel so inspired when I go in there. I've found that it's the best place to go when I just want to think or when I've hit writers block. Find a place like that in your community. The atmosphere will put you in a creative mood.
2. Surround yourself with products of creativity. This is a bit more hit-and-miss, but if you surround yourself with books or music or works or art that were products of strokes of creativity and inspiration, it is likely to shed onto you. You have to find what inspires you here. Things that inspire me or my friends may not work for you at all.
3. Listen to inspiring people. I have a few places I go to for this. The first is TED.com. Some of those people are just so amazing and brilliant, I can't help but feel motivated to at least achieve half of their brilliance. Another place I find myself going to again and again is the Peter Draws channel on YouTube. Here is one of my favorite videos of his.
