Review:This was a pretty interesting book. 15 year old Annie Lockwood travels back in time 100 years, ending up in 1895 and finds exactly the kind of romance she is looking for and doesn't have at home. However, staying in the 19th century could ruin not only her life in 1995, but also her life in 1895 as well as the lives of everyone who knows her.
This book features a lot of great plot twists, making it impossible to put down. It's only 224 pages, making it a quick read, but it's still packed with dynamic characters and a stunning plot line. It also has a lot of quaint historical touches as most of the book takes place on the east coast in 1895, a time filled with balls, puffy dresses, and midday tea.
My favorite part of the book, however, is the intricate plot. Annie seems to involved with so many things, both in the past at the present, making it hard to follow the plot completely at times, however the novel comes together beautifully in the end. I couldn't stop reading because I wanted to know how everything finally ended!
I really recommend it to anyone interested in romance, adventure, or historical novels.
